welcome to Averhó Foundation

The AVERHÓ Foundation is a non-profit institution established to provide specialized training for those who are disabled and of restricted mobility (primarily those with spine damage). This specialized training will allow individuals to enter into the audiovisual and new technologies sector of the labor market.

Special tools developed for disabled individuals are used to facilitate the transfer of information and communications. With minimal training, proficiency to carry out any technical or creative activity can be quickly learned, despite being wheelchair-bound.

AVERHÓ’s mission is to set up training for disabled individuals within the TIC ambit, to encourage the participation and dissemination of our work within the business environment and social program fields, and the identification of areas of employment opportunities for the physically disabled.

AVERHÓ´s goal is to assist those with limited employment potential by preparing them to compete professionally with new technology skills. This of course is possible only through the highest quality training programs.

We want people of limited mobility to completely overcome their feelings of frustration due social stigmas and lack of opportunity in the labor market,  and to develop their skills and become valued professionals within the audiovisual and new technology industries.

The principal objective of this pioneer project is to provide specialized training to young people of limited mobility into the audiovisual and new technologies sector of the labor market, following a training-plan which permits them to compete on equal basis in the profession.
